Keep a seasonal care record for a portable sprinkler
Good maintenance notes start with the exact manual, the parts you inspect and the changes you observe.
Save the model and instructions
Record the model identifier, source page and the manual supplied with the unit. Use the manufacturer’s cleaning procedure for the nozzles, screen and moving parts. We do not prescribe a solvent, disassembly sequence or universal winterizing process across different designs.
Inspect before repeating a test
Check the connection and visible components as directed by the maker. Note leaks or a changed spray pattern before treating the old catch-can record as current. If a procedure is unclear, ask the manufacturer rather than force a component or improvise a repair.
Store according to your version
Follow the model’s stated draining and storage instructions for your climate. Keep small removable parts labeled with the unit. A portable sprinkler care checklist does not replace professional winterization advice for an underground irrigation system.
