Keep pressure and setup in your measurement notes
Unknown pressure belongs in the record as unknown. It should never become a guessed specification.
Separate required from observed
A product’s permitted operating range, a test condition behind a coverage claim and your own observed pressure are different fields. The reviewed product pages do not confirm all of these. Check the exact manual or ask the manufacturer before assuming a pressure is suitable.
Label a pressure reading by how it was taken
Oklahoma State Extension distinguishes static pressure, with no water being discharged, from dynamic pressure while water is flowing. A reading taken with the outlet closed must not be relabeled as the pressure at a running sprinkler. Record the measuring point, whether the sprinkler was operating and the unit, if you actually measured it. The official fact sheet discusses irrigation-system principles; it does not supply the missing operating specification for any of our six portable models.
Keep the hose setup recognizable
Record hose length, selected controls and what else was using the supply during the run. Follow the maker’s instructions for any measuring equipment. This publication does not prescribe a pressure adjustment or a household plumbing modification.
Repeat when conditions change
A new hose, a different setting or a change in wind can make the previous measurement less representative. Keep a dated worksheet, and compare like conditions. The tool does not infer pressure from area or calculate an ideal supply pressure.
